Hello!
You might know me by my online alias, bbhtt, which is somewhat of a clumsy attempt to derive a nickname from my real name, Boudhayan Bhattacharya. I live in India and I have completed my B.Sc. (Honours) in 2021 and M.Sc. in Mathematics in 2023. Currently, I’m pursuing a Ph.D. in Mathematics. I teach Mathematics for work and contribute to FOSS projects during my free time. Currently I am (co)maintaining or contributing in some capacity to the following projects:
- Flatpak: Flatpak, flatpak-builder-tools, flatpak-github-actions, flatpak-builder, flat-manager, and flatpak-docs.
- Flathub: Reviewer, admin, moderator and a bunch of other things at Flathub, and shared-modules. - Flathub infrastructure: Flathub website and backend, documentation, flatpak-builder-lint, vorarbeiter, flat-manager-hooks, flathub-stats, actions-images, flatpak-external-data-checker, flathub-repro-checker, ide-flatpak-wrapper, and flathub-merge-action.
- Freedesktop SDK: freedesktop-sdk, freedesktop-sdk-docker-images, mirroring-config, mesa-git-extension, nvd-cve-database, freedesktop-sdk-utils, freedesktop-sdk-binary-seed, shared-library-guard, openh264-extension, and buildstream-plugins-community.
I would like to note that all of my FOSS work is done in my personal free time, and I have no plans to accept any payment or donations for it.
Other than work and FOSS, I love going on random YouTube binges, watching movies and TV shows, anime, K-dramas, and I’m almost always listening to music. I also try to read (or listen to) books and play some games on Steam every now and then, and occasionally mess around with casual online chess on Lichess.
